Lucky to Be Here

This is a little poem about a calm autumn afternoon. Hope you ´ll like it.

Yes, I am

On a cold autumn afternoon,
I let the wind play with my hair.
Then, I suddenly realized
that I am alive.
One, two and three…
I can feel the blood
freely running through
my thin vains.
My cheeks are getting rosy
as the wind gets a little bit colder.
I am able to feel fascination
by those little and perfect things
that are around me.
I am a part of something
that makes life worth living.
Some fallen leaves
give me an interesting sight while
I kept walking.
it does look as if the whole world
was covered with orange and yellow paint.
Then, I realize how lucky I am.
Even when I have a lot of bad days,
I am still breathing,
ready to keep going
until the end of the way.
The tranquility around me
seems to agree with what I think.
I am lucky just for being here,
because I know that some others
had their lifes cut short.
