This was written after we pulled into Manchester Piccadilly late one evening

Into the station late at night,
Across the platforms no-one in sight,
Where so many people seen here by day,
Have now gone onto their myriad way.

Abandoned trolleys their cages now empty,
Were earlier full of cases to be
Sent to places with owners unknown,
Places where perhaps they would be alone.

Where are the travellers that were once here,
Did they travel full of good cheer
Or were they afraid, lonely and scared,
Going to friends who showed that they cared.

The train moved on from the platform side,
We abandoned the station, continued our ride.
The station still empty, silent and still,
Until tomorrow when once more it would fill.

Empty, Station, Travellers

I have been writing poetry for a few years now and use it as a release for all types of feelings. I do not follow any set rules poetry as I find I cannot get the feeling correct if I use the rules.
