Marine T was stuck in Mexico's jails for more than 6 months and Obama administration didn't do anything for this warrior who did two tours of Afghanistan!

Banality of letting Marine Tahmooressi stay in Mexican Jail

Marine Tahmooressi is finally out of the Mexican prison. He was holed up there for more than 6 months since April. There was no understanding from the Mexican system of justice despite pleas for the Marine suffering from PTSD and the arbitrary nature of his arrest. Not much was accomplished from Obama administration either; Mexican officials came and went yet official attempts to get Marine Tahmooressi were dud. While this 2 tour duty to Afghanistan Marine was unnecessarily arrested for making a wrong turn at the border, Mexican authorities were quick to play by the books as to how the Marine had violated Mexico's gun laws! Incidentally, Mexico happens to be infested with guns and drug cartels with gun running, murders, tortures and kidnappings!

Audacity of hypocrisy

Mexico also has the highest rate of sending its citizens to the United States, fully abetted and encouraged by US' own loose borders as well as lopsided Obama polices towards allowing illegals from Mexico to enter, stay and become burdens of the state leaving taxpayers pick up their tab of health, education and upkeep!

Difference in Warriors and Traitors

Marine T was a young man who finished 2 tours of Afghanistan. This was a warrior of the country; country's administration and its people owed its gratitude to him. Shockingly, this was the same administration that traded 5 hard core Taliban terrorists for one deserter by the name of Bergdahl! For a man who committed treason, Bergdahl was rewarded richly and the Bergdahl fiasco represents continuing saga of Obama's minimal understanding of friends and enemies, minuscule grasp of continuing terrorist threat and complete disregard of America's security. Obviously, Obama and his followers have zero understanding of a warrior and a traitor.

Glad to have the Marine back home

Private citizens and businesses of the United States showed more concern and effort for Marine Tahmooressi than its government! Its president was busy playing golf while the rest of his administration was busy spinning new tales to feed to its poodle, mainstream media. Treason committing Bergdahl was called a hero while a Marine was ignored! There is nothing honorable about Obama's actions or his poor leadership or his pathetic understanding of war or the commitment of America's young men and women to defend it with their lives. Welcome home Marine!

Joyce, Everything you say here is so true, especially the last paragraph. It has been so nice to read your articles here but some of the comments made on your pieces and mine have taken away the joy of writing here for me. If you see less of my comments in the future on your work it is because I will be visiting here less often. Keep doing the great writing.

Bill thank you for your lovely comment. You're one of the ones here I visit often. Don't worry about disagreeing comments; they're part of writing and should be; it just means you're riling them enough; they do take time to answer which is good. Please don't stop visiting and commenting. Thanks again.

Joyce, in this world we live in now nothing surprises me. I'm so glad our marine is back home where he belongs. I simply do not understand the powers that be. Thanks for writing this article and sharing it with all of us.

Thank you Nancy. I was feeling terrible how little this administration did for the Marine as opposed to Bergdahl who was brought back through a disgusting exchange.

Marine T got a bum rap from both the U.S. government and Mexico.

It's obvious that Obama's interest is only to push his sickening agenda. Mexico, of course, likes only to show power unless you pay to appease. These days, the two regimes are hard to tell apart.

I'm wondering whether Mexico confiscated Marine T's three guns and added them to their national arsenal.

Good point LeRain. Most probably they took the guns. Thanks Le Rain and keep on writing.

Thank you for your article Joyce. Marine T should never have made the news. He should have just been turned around. Unfortunately, with this administration, the military gets the bad end of the stick all the time, people in the wrong get applauded/rewarded, and those that have common sense are marginalized.

Indeed. This was unnecessary flexing of muscles from the Mexican side which got exacerbated by stupidity from the American side. Thanks.
