Heaven is not your due, nor can you earn it; you must be born again, and then heaven is given to you!

Mercy Not Earned

I was such a good lad,
I had never done bad;

Born the last of seven,
Knew I’d go to heaven;

You see, I was bless’d son,
Both parents were Christian;

Guaranteed free leaven,
I was bound for heaven;

But on the day He came,
I thought I heard my name;

But said, You’re not leavin’.,
You’ve no place in heaven;

Alas, I realized ’tis true,
Heaven is not your due;

You must be saved to go,
Be ready – heart and soul.
