Dad, Molly and Milly have agreed to work side by side on the investigation. They are putting their skills to work. Molly found a map in the victim's beach house and they are hoping the map leads them to the killer.

Milly's decision

Milly had been thinking about having grandma send her a plane ticket home. The circumstances have now changed and Milly is willing to stay in Carolina beach. She's going to try her best to help with the investigation. They've all decided to work as a team. Dad said no more secrets and Molly and Milly shook on it. From this point forward they have agreed to share all clues and go on surveillance together. They will not be leaving Dad out of the loop. Milly feels really good about this turn of events. It was kind of rough in lockup and she's trying to turn over a new chapter in her young life.

Going in search of clues

Dad was up early and he wanted to go into town. He was going to the library and invited Molly and Milly along for the ride. Molly had to smile because things had sure changed since last year. Dad never once invited them along and today he was truly making an effort to include them in the investigation. Molly would have to give him 10 points on keeping his word. She was going to try to live up to his expectations. Milly had to be given credit too because she seemed to have a new outlook on life.

The carnival is in town

Molly loved going into town because there were so many sites to see. A carnival had been set up in the center of town with rides and lots of food. Molly loved cotton candy and she knew for a fact that Milly liked elephant ears. When they left the library maybe Dad would stop and let them have lunch at the carnival. That would be a wish come true. First things first though because Dad wanted to do some investigating. He had the map Molly found under the dresser drawer. Dad was hoping to find a larger map of the area. He was looking for a very detailed map because it might shed some light on the mystery numbers.

People watching

Dad spent a long time searching for a detailed map of the area. By the time they left the library Molly and Milly were starving. Dad said he was hungry too so he agreed to stop at the carnival. He parked as close to the carnival as he could, so they wouldn't have to walk all the way through town. Molly was so excited. She was going to enjoy the food and do some people watching, it was a favorite pastime of hers. Dad stopped at the stand and bought Molly a big bag of of cotton candy. Milly got her elephant ear and Dad got a big slushy. It was heating up outside again.

Leaving the carnival

Molly and Milly were having fun at the carnival but Dad wanted to get back to the investigation. He'd checked out a few maps at the library and wanted to go back to the house and study them. They were getting ready to leave when Molly almost ran right into the guy who called the law on them yesterday. She stopped and looked up at him, her first instinct was to bite the guy on the leg. He'd sure given them a lot of trouble. The guy actually recognized her and smiled. Molly had no intention of being friends with him, not after what he'd done. He'd cost them a ride in a police car, not to even mention being put in lockup. Molly backed up and went around him. Dad was in a hurry and she wasn't here to socialize. Milly caught up with Dad and stayed right by his side. They made it to the car in record time.

Team work, camaraderie, and almost perfect understanding, I think that means the killer is truly nailed! I suspect the guy who called the police.

Thanks Nancy for this joyous ride, heat notwithstanding! siva
