Molly and Milly have gone to find Dad. He went into the building and Molly is afraid something bad will happen to him. It's going to be harder maneuvering around the building with Milly but she is refusing to stay in the car.

Searching for Dad

Molly is tired and hungry and now she has to babysit Milly. They have no idea where Dad is. The night just keeps getting worse by the minute. If by some miracle Molly can get Dad and Milly back home again she is going to deserve a medal or maybe two medals. One for working under the worst conditions ever and two for having to put up with the most annoying cat on the planet. If Molly moves one inch forward Milly runs right into her. Now Molly is going to have to fight off the bad guys without her pepper spray and with a moron.

The plan to enter the building

Molly was slowly moving along the edge of the building with Milly in tow. The first door they came to was locked so they couldn't get in the building that way. There were broken windows but they were too high for Molly and besides she couldn't leave Milly outside alone. Off in the distance Molly heard a train. For two cents Molly wished she was on that train going off to parts unknown. Instead she was downtown trying to save Dad. Molly finally found a door that was ajar. She squeezed through the opening and Milly followed close behind. The inside of the building smelled funny. It had an old musty smell to it. Molly much preferred Mom's scented candles to this. It was a stagnant smell like a cesspool or something. Molly was trying to be as quiet as possible but of course Milly started sneezing. She was going to blow their cover.

Finding the stairwell to the basement

Molly had seen a movie where the bad guys always hid out in the basement. Molly had to find out how to get down into the basement. This building gave her the creeps. All she needed was to run into a ghost or something like that. This would be the perfect place for a vampire to live. Molly was starting to feel sick again. Milly was sneezing and Molly was trying to adjust her eyes to the pitch black. This building was old and she didn't want to fall into some giant hole in the floor and be sucked into never, never land. Above all she didn't want Milly to get hurt because then she would have to save her. Molly seriously needed to reevaluate her life. It was certainly not going well. She was a filthy mess and who knows how many germs she had come in contact with. The last thing Molly wanted to do was get sick. Molly inched along the wall walking slowly. Milly continued to sneeze. They found a stairwell that went down so Molly figured this was the basement.

The basement fiasco

Molly had to help Milly get down the stairs. Her legs were too short for the steps. That slowed them down considerably. Milly wasn't doing too good. She was sneezing and by this time limping along. The basement sounded quiet so chances of Dad being down here was not good. Molly's eyes were adjusting to the dark but she didn't like it down here. Coming down into the basement had wasted precious time. They only had so long to find Dad before something really bad happened. Milly couldn't take anymore of this craziness. She missed mom and wanted to go home. She didn't like this cold, dark basement. She sat down on the last step and started to cry. Molly did the only thing she could think of. She told Milly to jump on her back and they'd go back up the stairs.

Nothing is more dingy and damp than a dark, cold basement. It's time for them to get back upstairs.

I have a feeling the supposed weakling Milly is the secret weapon, Molly is caught in between. Great going, Nancy - siva
