Mother Nature’s Desert

Mother Nature has many moods and they are extreme in the desert. Survival on the desert is not garenteed to even those who live there.

Mother Nature’s Desert

The beauty of the desert,
Such an awesome sight to see,
I sit out there
Without a care
Mother Nature talks to me.

Oh, She can be a tyrant
With her heat of burning hell,
She’ll cook your brain,
You’ll go insane,
She’ll burn up every cell.

But she can be a lover,
She whispers in your ear,
Of quietness
And peacefulness
Relaxing all your fears.

Surviving Mother Nature
In the desert takes a skill.
If you want to live
You have to give
Attention to her will.

To look at all her beauty
Puts an awe into your heart.
But to join her there,
You’d best beware,
She’ll play her fiendish part.

Author's note: The inexperienced hikers should never attempt to hike the deserts alone. Seek out someone with experience to go along with you.

Thanks for changing the face of desert from a forbidding place, Don. Also for the warning and caution needed. I have seen in animal videos poisonous snakes abound too - siva
