This is a personal poem that I wrote about my experiences with insomnia. Would like to share with others.

"Mountain Top"

Peaks breached by transient light.
Touched as days roll into nights.

Reaching for bottles to cure.
This long trail I must endure.

The guide lithium my great friend.
Through this disfigured map I cannot mend.

A natural way to face my fate.
This resource I cannot create.

My mind tempted with curious thoughts.
I've fought, I've fought, I've fought, I've fought.

Following my trek that is this curse.
I have learned to face my potential worst.

Dreaming of better nights with my eyes wide.
I focus to climb the mountain top just to hide.

Sleep until I can restore.
I tell myself this is insomnia and nothing more.

Thank you for the kind words. Not sure if I will ever find peace with this issue. But I have learned to manage and live a healthier life. With thanks to medical help and family support.
