Two short poems, one about sitting in the garden on a summers day and the other about the problem of toasting crumpets.

My Garden Seat

Sitting on my garden seat,
Taking in the summer heat,
I wonder at the plants that grow,
And the many seeds I sow.
Flowering every single time,
Lovely when the weathers fine,
Makes my garden full of colour,
Makes my life so much fuller,
Thanking nature for the trust,
Growing flowers from the dust.

I walk Alone

Toasting Crumpets.

Oh my crumpets do not fit,
In the toaster not one bit,
Making crumpets should be smaller,
As it is a nuisance mauler,
Sliced bread fits not too,
Don`t know what I have to do,
Going back to using grill,
This is not the greatest thrill,
Inventing toasters it is said,
Was to simplify toasting bread.
