Narrowboats

A short poem about the pleasures of sailing on a narrow boat. What you see and why I enjoy the time on board.

Narrow Boat

I like to sail my narrow boat
No matter what the weather is,
You see all sorts of things
And nothing do you miss.

The pace is nice and gentle
When sailing with my wife,
Your very close to lovely nature
And you leave the daily strife.

Ducks and Geese

Ducks and geese are there to see
Along the waters edge,
Different birds are there too
Some hiding in the hedge.

Animals will stare at you
When your passing through,
You will be so strange to them
Like a human zoo.

Get away from city grime
Have a real good time,
Boating on the canal you say
Yes ! any time or day
