A woman just has enough of lfe and decides to simply quit... a haunting moving poem about suicide

Near Darkness

She glanced around one last time,
hoping to find a sign,
as if it might be out in the open,
she hated failure,
and her life seemed to constantly
want to hand her failure after failure,
sadness became the attacker,
near darkness made even blacker
with the lack of hope,
she could no longer cope,
as she slipped her head into the noose,
from the dangling rope,
there was no light,
but the noose gripped her tight,
her steps seemed to merge into one another,
life and death moving away from each other,
her spirit became nothing more than a faint ghost,
walking silently in the dark.
