When God created this world and all that is within it, including the human physical body, He established natural physical laws to govern His creation. sickness only came along when mankind started animal products.

God is at work in the hospitals

A cry for help is among our most urgent needs. When we are in pain, we can turn to the Great Physician, Jesus Christ, for healing. It doesn't matter whether we need help in our body or our spirit; God has the power to make us better.

Sickness is no mystery to those who know how God made the human physical body and how He designed it to be nourished. Sickness was not a part of God’s original plan for man, nor did sickness originate as a result of the sin of Adam and Eve. In fact, as we read the Bible, sickness did not even enter the human race until almost 2,000 years after creation!

When God created this world and all that is within it, including the human physical body, He established natural physical laws to govern His creation. Sickness, almost without exception, comes only as a result of violating natural physical laws!
So, if we are going to understand why people get sick, the very first thing we must realize is that there is always a cause for sickness.

In other words, sickness just does not happen all by itself, but occurs as a result of a physical law being violated! I am constantly frustrated by the poor health of the people in my churches, Christian community in general. I observed that Christians were just as sick as non-Christians, and that those I considered to be spiritual Christians were just as sick as those I considered not-so-spiritual.

Today God is at work in the hospitals, and multitudes of Christians are dying from heart attacks, strokes, and cancer, while the majority of Christians suffer from a long list of physical problems-- including colds, flu, arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, acid stomach, haemorrhoids, poor eyesight, pimples, dandruff, body odour, and the list could go on and on.

The Genesis 1:29 diet, given to mankind by God at creation, was a 100% raw fruit and vegetable diet. After creation, on this raw fruit and vegetable diet, man lived an average age of 900 years,
but for the next almost 2,000 years there was not a single instance of sickness. It was only sometime way after animal products began to be consumed, when mankind started cooking his food altering the taste, that sickness entered the human race.

Today, our instincts have been seared and are being overruled by intellect when it comes to what we eat. We follow the guidelines of the American Dietetic Association, what our doctors tell us, and what everyone else is doing, while being influenced by the advertising of the food industry and the other interested parties of our day. In both the Christian and non-Christian community we are eating the world’s way instead of God’s way and paying a very heavy penalty for this violation of God’s natural laws.

There is not a single meat-eating animal in the wild that cooks the flesh it eats, nor is there an animal in the wild that pasteurizes the milk it feeds its young. Nor is there even an animal in the wild that drinks the milk of another animal, or drinks milk after the age of weaning.
And God said: Behold, I have given you every herb (vegetable) bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a treat yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat." (Genesis 1:29)

Firstly, the foods which comprise our contemporary diets are a far cry from the foods of biblical times, what with the modern use of pesticides, hormones, preservatives, etc. Second, St. Paul very clearly states "All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things edify. 1 Corinthians 10:23. Everything is permissible for me, but not everything is beneficial, we can indulge our bodies with things that are detrimental to our health.

Eating the wrong food will not make you healthy, although it looks good; there is poison in the pot. To grasp the significance of healthy living, it’s important to remember the instructions that God gave in the Garden of Eden. Adam and eve would be blessed if they obey, but to ignore would present the futility in contrast to righteousness, by abandoning God mankind have come up with their own solution for living, in essence it is the battle of the mind over the instructions of God.

thank you for this Gerry . I have just one question concerning Peter's vision ,when he saw the blanket lowered and God said to him to kill and eat , when Peter protested, God said He had made the unclean animals clean , and no one was to call them unclean again . In my childlike way I believe that when we ask God to bless our food , He does , and no poison in them can harm us . I am not trying to disagree , just clarify some thoughts .Bless you . Stella
