November Chemistry

A dash of bright colours and peppery hues,
And thundery bangs from coppery blues,
With lithium salts of a fiery red,
Awakens the eyes of a sleepy head.

Calcium salts gives an orangy star,
Reflecting in windows near and far.
Barium compounds greener than leaves,
Glisten and sparkle above the trees.

Sodium nitrates as yellow as sun,
Brightens the soul of this lonely one.
Aluminium dashes of silvery white,
Chases the dark from his autumn night.

Embers are glowing, there’s warmth in the air,
With singing and dancing and savoury fare.
He sits on the fire and stares at the sky,
A man dressed in rags-a singular guy!

Thank you for your visit Carol much appreciated.
That's so kind Delicia. I had to google the chemicals in fireworks and see what colours they produced!
