Ode To Friendship, No Thanks To Wikinut

Friendship. Wikinut. These two aren't disparate concepts, are they? Yet they would always go together. Oh, I agree, of course, in between there's something wrong with the owner(s). :D Very soon, most will elope, marry and live happily ever after.

Land of Shakespeare And Of Uncle Sam

I love Shakespeare
how he shakes, how
his spear hits the mark.

Sadly, in his own land,
so markedly, grotesquely
are we hit more by " arrows
of misfortune," as I recall
words, wrongly, of my, my
intimacy of Will, my poet of
revenge as I see him now.

America, oh, my Mother
America, how can you level
the uneven field, you know
your Mother England has dealt
us unevenly?

How can you reconcile the towering
poets that you were once combined,
English exquisite with unique blend
of spices of speech, to the lowliest
poets you lovingly yet suffocatingly
colonized without feeling inadequate?

Now, I say, to both Mark Gordon Brown,
the American, and to Johnnydod, the
British, both friends whose English I
most admire to be in grand fusion, grant,
I pray, that:

We have the power to delete,
the glorious thing to do, replete with
those unhappy times we might as well
see without.

But sadly the Chief Nut loves it not.:D

Methinks the Chief Nut cares not about the will, needs or perspective of we who write in his name. Forsooth, he hath chosen to ignore us as though we were veritable sots on the face of an otherwise glorious earth.
To continue to write here or to not continue to write here. That is the question.
For certainly, he pisseth us off.

Poets love to have something to complain about, perhaps that is the reason why the Chief has declined the option of allowing writers to delete spam comments.
As Bono said "Every poet is a thief who will kill for inspiration and then sing about their grief". Good poetry comes from the pain of suffering !

Well.. its a thought!

There's an element of truth in that, Mark.

"For there was never yet philosopher
That could endure the toothache patiently." (Will)

I appreciate very much your assurance on the moderation page I received and am thankful for the free speech accorded me on the issue.

Mark: Your comment, "Every poet is a thief who will kill for inspiration and then sing about their grief". Good poetry comes from the pain of suffering ! Absolute nonsense. Have you ever read Wordsworth? Have you read Delicia's poems? I hate to see your opinion backed up by a rock singer who has made millions, probaably billions, by loud-mouthing his opinions on world suffering. May he pipe-down. He is adept at using foul language. Poetry is out of his realm.
Ivyevelyn.
What on earth has Bono got to do with it? He is rock singer who uses foul language and has acquired probably over a billion dollars, pushing himself upfront with his activism in world suffering. I doubt if he could write half a verse of poetry, he is too occupied with gathering up wealth protesting about poverty and suffering. I have never said anything about the prose writers, except "nice prose". I will write on Bono and let's see if his comments are worth a damn.

Well, I am going to make an attempt at poetry. I suffered under an MRI machine today. I just stared at the white roof and I realize now I could have made an attempt at poetry. I have not tried to write a poem since Junior High School. I know little about stanza but I have read that "poetry is the record of the best and happiest moments of the best and happiest minds", (Shelley, British poet).

This poem made me laugh. Yes the message is real with substance. Seriously kab Buzz - don't take spam seriously. I even suggested those spammers to visit often to all my articles so far they are already about 166 now and if they posted spam at least 166 times for every article I published here - I will help promote their products through sharing them to all my personal blog sites across the Internet.

However, I wish that Wikinut Admin will create a delete command for spam.

Yes spam adds views but the downside of it kick off search engine crawlers from coming back.

SPAM unfairly competes with legit adverts that pay Wikinut in that the former posts their adverts free unlike the latter. Oh, well, thanks, Kab Paul for the comment.

Nice poem, Buzz.
Let's hope our dream comes true and a dream clear and without a spam trouble.

Our friend ppruel has a funny idea of a business strategy for the spammers, I liked his idea.

What a nice way to make a point Buzz. We all get irritated by the spammers but I find that a small price to pay for meeting such a nice group of writers and moderators on this site.

That's very true, Carol. It's really a very, very nice community and super kind moderators like Mark and Johnny who have a very tolerant attitude towards authors.

Had to laugh at this poem, Buzz, though you raised a valid point. I think just as many writers complain about spam as do poets on here..oh harsh judgement, Mark! lol,,Love your lampoon, Buzz!

rules are cages to block you

Most of the us can write prose,
Grammatically poor, rambling along,
punctuation unused, spelling abused.
Those with education in written English,
May write down their words with no special gift,
Save a few with a message they can convey,
In prose, well-written and they mean what they say.
Poetry takes the gift of gentle words on the ear,
Knowledgeable, articulate and laid in place,
With grace, like embroidery on pieces of lace.

Spam is processed meat in an ugly tin can.
Those who like it need to slap it in place
Right where it belongs, back in their face.

Spam sounding like sperm -
And spam have got the same impact like sperm when it succeed to make another one fooled-
And move like enjoying and increasing in numbers-
and have got domino effect in building up destroying others time and mind.
We need some invigilators to check it out centrally.
