The Darkest Hour is just before the Dawn. Writing during night hours, thoughts turn to our mortality, to the need for vigilance over choices made and to bring reality into clearer focus.

The Darkest Hour.

The Darkest Hour is just before the Dawn. Writing during night hours, thoughts turn to our mortality, to the need for vigilance over choices made and to bring reality into clear focus. The morning light and the rising sun show a path full of joy for the beauty of life, with only intervals of acceptance of our needs for survival.
Survival to review the past, to seek the companionship again of friends lost over the years, and to appreciate our accomplishments, yet to re-visit past losses without resentment or renewal of grief.

The Wikinut World of Care.

I live in a world, one so full of care,
I know I am safe, I need not despair.
I walk through hallways, faces haunted and sad,
Lights far too bright, speakers loud, and I fear,
I must wait, I need time for prayer.

The Wikinut World of Love.

I live in a world, one so full of love,
I know I am safe, I could soar like a dove
Through the window, tiny figures so far below,
May I leave, I'll fly away from this place,
And yet I must wait, the fear I must face.

The Wikinut World of Hope.

I live in a world, one so full of hope
Yes, I know I am safe. I know I can cope.
I wait and I watch, my heart beats fast, and then slow.
Chairs placed in a row, a leaflet to read,
My name is called, a nurse takes the lead.

The Wikinut World of Devotion.

I live in a world, one so full of devotion,
It shines through to me in conscious emotion
Of feeling and hearing by my dear, caring friends,
Those who support me through pain, doubt and fears,
There should be no longer a need for my tears.

Thank you, Mark Gordon. I appreciate you supporting me. I have left a comment for Buzz as I inadvertently plagiarized part of one of his titles, although I am sure you would have corrected this before publishing if it was necessary.

Hi Ivyevelyn,

I see a poet in you taking wings like a colorful butterfly from a prolonged broodings of a pupa's cocoon.

Deep from within my heart
I pray for you my friend
you are not alone
the hand of God holds us all
we sit in his lap
and play and talk
we see him smile
and forget our 'pretend play life'
and He hold us closer
giving us his warmth.
I pray for you dear Ivy

Congratulations with the remission dear friend. People write about the hand of God which is even more real, when we understand that the hand of God in all it's glory, are the many caring souls we come into contact with here on earth. So also are Angels, their appearance in the presence of people, were never supernatural figments of the imagination, but very real bearers of tiding of great joy. If they fluttered down through the ceilings, there would have been no doubt as to who they were, yet every one who came into contact with Angels weren't certain. Just an idea!

I believe there are angels here and we may not know at the time. I met a complete stranger, an elderly, rather poorly dressed man, who drove with me to the bank on a midnight run to get a payment in before my home was foreclosed on. (A journey of about 30 miles). He re-started the car twice, found the bank (I did not know how to get there) and then he was gone.
Thank you, for reminding me of this, Tranquilpen.

Deepa: Thank you for keeping in touch. My latest page, "Waiting Room" shows how my attitude can vary but my faith in you, my friends, and God remain constant.
