Plan to Quit Smoking

I discovered that I can go more than twelve hours without a cigarette when the need arises, but past that I am at a loss. Much of that time involves excessive sleeping. It is time to correct that and I have a plan.

I am confident that when I run out of cigarettes I can wait twelve hours to purchase more. I will begin increasing my endurance by increasing the time between cigarettes. I'll stop smoking earlier at night.

Middle of the Night
I find myself waking up in the middle of the night. Usually, I have a cigarette when I wake up. I am attempting to break this habit. It is going to be difficult, but if I limit my time out of bed to making sure that my little girl is not still up playing it will be easier.

I typically attempt to spend a few minutes talking to my boyfriend which is where my cigarettes come into play. I am going to attempt to talk to him without smoking at night.

Counting Cigarettes Smoked

I roll my own with tubes and tobacco because it costs less. Five cartons a month is what I order, lately I have been running out and had to purchase packs. Four packs are $20 and I go through them like water. That defeats the purpose of saving money by rolling them myself.

I have decided to start counting what I smoke again. I know at this point it is more than a pack a day. I intend to determine exactly how much I smoke, and set limits on it. Eventually, I will quit.

Electronic Cigarette Failure
I have tried electronic cigarettes with cartridges and with vapor. Both failed me. I cough more and put them down for an actual cigarette.

The cost is as much as my cigarettes considering that I can go through a bottle of vapor fluid in a week's time.

Side Effects of Not Smoking

I eat more than I normally would. I have to have something in my mouth, the hand habit is the hardest one to break. I don't want to gain the weight I have lost back, I'm still working on losing weight, and I need to take my mind off eating and smoking.

I have plans for the money that I spend on cigarettes. It'll give us extra money, and that could go a long way to helping out of the current financial mess that I am in.

I will quit smoking, it's just going to take some time. I need to set a date to quit. Meanwhile I will count the cigarettes that I am smoking, stress increases that amount so I will be once again examining the world around me.

I know I smoke less while I am cleaning house and writing because I do not have the time. I need something to occupy the times I spend smoking. When I am watching television is the worse but I have no idea why.

I need support and possibly a prescription to aid in quitting.

It's great that you have a plan. It is not easy to quit smoking. Good-luck.
