Two little poems on animal behavior to read and enjoy. Do post your comments.

Happiness of a dog

When a dog follows you on the street,
Wagging its tail and
Looking at your face,
Have you ever thought
What it expects from you?
Is it just for a crumb of biscuit
Which you throw at it sometimes?
Or is it for a pat of approval?
Or does it wish to be part of your household?
Starving dogs are happy on devouring a biscuit,
Others often look for a friendly pat,
Those which have many pals become happy
Only after getting a home.

Monkey habit?

When she saw her neighbor
Buy a new car,
She got one too ...
When her neighbor bought
Expensive jewelry,
She filled her safe with new jewels,
When her neighbor went on
A foreign holiday,
She planned one soon.

It is not factual that
Only monkeys do
Things that others do ...
