On this page is dedicated to a poem of my old self. I was going through a rough spot with depression and in turn became a cold, manipulating woman. I am proud to say that I have not manipulated anyone since my change in character.

The Monster

She stormed in like a cold winter breeze and manipulated with ease, hissing hurtful words towards her innocent prey she claimed hers in her clutch.
This was her way of life, the way she had unfortunately come to be; the terror she was causing she could not see, she was blinded.
She had many victims, victims to her cold black heart, a heart from which she could not grow apart, though she had not even tried. She was cruel and with that cruelty came pride.
A day came, and on that day, a lover.
He showed her the ways of love, he was her protective cover.
He had made her realize that the victim had truly been herself, as she had put her loving heart on a dusty shelf.
So this was her day of awakening, and now she had come to believe that the monster was she.
Yes, you may not believe but that monster was she, that monster...
was me.
