Poems from a tortured soul

Poems for a rainy, melancholy day or for asking questions that have no answers

The Voice
The Voice of all eternity
Passes through the night
And sounds in my ears
Like rushing wind
How naked I am then
And silent as a rock
There seems no point in moving
But that is what I do

The Whisper
I tried to catch a whisper
And hold it to my heart
The tiny candle flame
Is all there is
Hold me until I sleep
I will whisper

Soothing stillness waits in anticipation
She must dwell in memories
And dreams for now

All in all I am not me
In all there is to search to see
And all the time sweet music plays
For all the seasons and all the days

Will brazen nature creep around
The well-worn path at night?
It surrounds the vast seas
And distracts from all that is false
How will it find me?

Life is a Garden
I once saw a flower
Who held itself back
Drooping next to one that didn't
One was just being itself,
One wasn't,
How sad!

Can I look at you?
Will it have to end after a glance?
A glance and a smile?
A glance, a smile, a word?
Why not more?
Why do my eyes hurt?

Such is the truth of it
Once the sound is heard, it is gone
The sight is seen, and then forgotten
The search begins and ends
And I cannot escape myself

I waited and watched
For you to come
But when you did
It was too late
For now I long
To listen and move
