Dancing in the ball with your beloved is a pleasant experience.

Listen to my Heart Beat

When you asked my hand
At the ball to dance,
My pulse raced, my fingers chilled
I had the same fear when
I rode my first bicycle,
The same fear when
I dived into the pool first,
The same fear when
I gave my first public speech.
I hid it from others with a smile,
But when you hold me close,
Listen to my heart beat and you will know…

I did not Feel at Home

I looked around in the ball room,
There was no one I could dance with
The eyes I was looking for was not there,
Neither was the gentle hand to hold,
I did not feel at home
With anyone dancing around,
“When did I become so choosy?”.
I asked myself confused,
My heart whispered in reply
“There was no one here
Quite like your love.”
