When we seem dead and buried within life's muddy waters, it is then that we must throw ourselves a life-raft. By getting closer to who we really are, by being our real selves, we can see through these muddy waters to the distant star that we are.

To really be our real selves, we need to accept fully all parts of this real self. Being such a light in an otherwise pretty dark world allows you to shine forth from God's love.

Freedom of choice comes alive in us when we really choose to choose

We need to be happy to be our own selves as we are.
Straying far from this true self causes us to fade away.
The distance that we travel from our real self today,
can bring us pain only if we remain forever in that way.

It is said that each of us has a wolf at our own door.
If we are negative, it's our choice that's letting him in.
Straying from our true self, plants pain within our heart,
this only happens if we ignore this self, by being blind.

It's said, "First we must be lost before we can be found."
This sounds very profound of course, but is it so sound?
We must stay on the solid ground around our own soul,
only in this way will we not sink into a hole in our shoal.

We stand on our own sandbank within the waters of life.
If we dig a deep hole in our sand, we can get into strife.
If we fall into this darkness, we might think it's the end.
The truth is darkness isn't darkness, it's often our friend.

If we seem buried up to our necks in life's muddy puddle,
we're not wanting more water to flood in to more befuddle.
Sometimes confusion's just seeing things without any light,
Turning on a light in darkness opens you up to new insight.

In short, be not short with yourself

Senryu : Real selves

The real self is not
the self you think that you are
wake up to be you!

"To know what that true self is without social pressure is to know your true nature."

This quote is from the American writer, Martha Beck,

We are meant to be who we are right now

A person must believe in themselves, and be themselves, their real self, to avoid not living by their own truths.

Living truth becomes alive in you just as much as you love this truth into life. This means that when you love, the truth comes forward to greet you, and so you become the way, the truth, and the life, for yourself, when you love.

Are we really ever a different person than who we are meant to be?

Is the person that we are always in fact the person we are meant to be right now?

It is acceptance that is the real key in all of this.

Love lives in a responsible way at all times within you.

When you fear the way that this love is living in you, you move away from being this love, and so you then be the fear instead. This feels like that you are not being your real self, and in a way you are not, but the truth is that you are always your real self at all times.

This real self is just lessened in its entirety of full operational consistency from the lacking of the full power of love, due to your fear's dampening love's fires down within you, so to speak, in some way, or another.

Most people think that there is an inner need to meet your real self, but you must realise that it is only ever your real self that drives you, at all times.

Your soul merely looks on as a vehicle for the holy spirit, and for God's love to reach you, and for you to be given the freedom of choice to live the divine life from your human self. It is you who lives this life, and it is not your soul, as such, or even anyone else that you think that you really are, or might yet be, or still want to still yet be either.

You are your real self right now, and there is never another self waiting in the shadows for you to meet it, and then to claim it as yourself. No, claim who you are right now, accept all of yourself right now, and so be who you are right now too.

Is our real self different than our soul then?

You have a soul, and you have a real self.

The soul is a part of the whole of you as you are too.

Your real self is the total composition of all parts of you, and this is why you should not neglect the being of any one of these parts. All are an important part of you, all make up you, your real self.

"The first man gets the oyster, the second man gets the shell."

This quote from the Scottish American Industrialist businessman Andrew Carnegie, (1835 to 1919) does not apply to your real self though. You are both the shell and the oyster, and the pearl too, for that matter!

In order to be truly happy we must become who God wants us to be--His adopted sons and daughter through Jesus Christ, Hid only begotten Son and our Lord and Savior.

Yes, to be clear what I was trying to say is that we need to become who God created us to be, that is our only true real self, and it is who God wants us to be, as you indicated

living in this world of darkness we need to be our true real selves for God, and shine our own light into the darkness so that others might see the way too, or at least be helped to , if they want to.

thanks siva, everything then can make us stronger in its way if we accept the learning that we can receive from the experience.
