This poem and subsequent explanatory section really only says one thing.

Peace is lost when you doubt either love, God, or yourself. When you fully know peace, you will have no more doubts.

True peace of mind starts in your heart

Peace of mind finds you, without your ever, ever looking.
There's no way to peace, except peace's way, no mistooking.
Peace leads to peace finding more besides, without overcooking!

Contentment has an element of love in its living, you see.
Love reflects happiness, which then brings peace to thee.
Finding peace's about living from love being now released free.

Peace found first within is then found without then too.
Love brings you to peace through yourself being peaceful.
Peace adjusts our alignment to God by our sitting at his table.

If you cannot find peace, give a piece of yourself to another.
If we've got no peace it's because we've lost ourselves to fear.
We're not then loving others. If we love, we'll find peace all about.

Peace waves at us through hands of love really the hands of God.
Peace begins when an outwardly inner smile reaches out of our bod.
Peace of mind isn't about looking for rewards, it's being love-shod.

A word or two more about peace, and finding it

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

This is of course Jesus Christ talking here. This quote comes from Saint John's gospel, chapter 16, and verse 33, in the Christian bible.

What exactly is this peace that Jesus that is talking about here though?

Jesus's peace is a piece of God's love.

It's not only one piece though, it is his full unconditional love that is given to you so that you might always live from the same peace that God lives from. This is only possible when you love as God loves, as Jesus commanded us all to do in this verse in the bible.

This quote comes from Saint Matthew's gospel, chapter 22, verses 37 to 39.

"Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself.'"

Peace in a way is the assurance that Jesus is always still with you.

Peace will usually leave you when you doubt this.

Being at peace lets you be with Jesus continually, and this allows you to feel his constant presence around you, because he is with you until the end of time.

This is told to us in Saint Matthew's gospel chapter 28, verse 20.

"And remember that I am always with you until the end of time."

Love brings peace, because peace is living love.

Love is living in you always acting from a sense of forgiveness of others, and of yourself.

Thinking ill of yourself, and not forgiving yourself, as well as doing this of other people, creates inner turmoil. Inner turmoil prevents inner peace.

This idea that only God can fully forgive should not stop us from ever trying to do so!

Self-forgiveness is a key to inner peace.

We need such a key if we have closed off, and locked one of the doors inside of us, that is leading to love.

When we find perfect peace within perfect love, we no longer need keys anymore, because now there are also no locked doors anymore left to open.

The more that you love, the more peaceful that you are, and the more that you can forgive yourself. It all always starts, and ends with love. This is because love is also acceptance, and acceptance after all is only just forgiveness.

Self-acceptance then is self-forgiveness, and in acceptance there is peace, because self-acceptance is a form of self-love.

When you fully accept who you really are within God, you will find his everlasting peace is living in you then because you are now being you for God.

Inner peace is living within the full light of God's love, and self-forgiveness removes the shades from our eyes that are blocking us from seeing this love within its full light.

Thank for sharing this Article on Peace ~ Spirited. What I get out of this is like John 14:27 being elaborated on. "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be afraid." Continued blessings to you.

Thanks Helen, there is no other greater peace than that which we can have from loving Jesus, and God.

thanks Stella.

That's very true, Jesus' love can melt our stubborn refusal to forgive, so that we can do so.

We can have no peace until we forgive.

Jesus told us how important it was to forgive our brother, and to be reconciled to him even before we go to church to offer our gifts to God.
