Poetry fragments of thoughts, ideas, and observations. A look into internal versus external worlds.

The Orchid

Pit, pat, pit, pat.
The ants keep marching
to and fro,
like blood in veins,
always on the run.

The orchid watches.

Pit, pat, pit, pat.
The rain keeps falling,
down and up,
like a thousand little babies
fallen from the stork.

The orchid bows.

Pit, pat, pit, pat.
The stars keep pulsing,
explode and fade,
a billion reborn
faster than thought.

The orchid shrinks.

The planets keep spinning,
the heavens keep moving,
and everyone keeps walking.
The ants keep marching.
Never to see,
never to hear.

The orchid has fallen
amidst tiny drops of nector
staining the ground.

I am Strong

I have run out of tears,
I have run out breathe,
I have run for my life,
for so long.

I have given you my last
and you’ve given it back,
like so many before.

I can no longer feel,
no longer see,
and I step into the calm,
the darkness
and breathe.

I am stronger than you.
I am strong.
I am strong
I am told,
I am strong.

Finding Comfort

Close your eyes
and forget my dear.
For all will be cleaned with time.

Close your heart
and forget my dear
for you will be safe from all the pain.

Close your mind
and forget my dear
for the world is so unkind.

Close your heart
and forget my dear.
Your heart is of your mind.
