The confused thoughts and experiences of a maturing young man

Portrait of a Young Man

Carpet pressed down,
paint picasso lines, swirling dust
curling into lust.

The music's loud
and we like it that way.
Through head aches
we make headway.

It's six and your gone.
I'm on the roof
smoking a grey dawn.

The experiences and thoughts of a college aged kid going through the years of life which transform him from a boy to a man. The ordinary things of life twisted by an insatiable physicality and sensuality driven by youth become a sort of art. Experience, even painful experience is a teacher and is always welcome. At the end, we sit and contemplate.
