Prayer for peace in the world!

Night long bombings, many dying and grievously wounded has become the order of the day in many parts of the world. These are prompted, abetted and encouraged by political or religious leaders for their vested interests and have the hold over their followers.I have tried to express the subject in my words.

The shattered peace!

The uneasy calm lies shattered,
The splinters from the broken glasses
And the stomp of the running feet
Breaks the peace and wakes me up;

The weather-beaten window wood,
Clinging mercifully to the frame,
Just as my wrinkled skin,
Covers my frail and boney frame;

With trembling feet, I gather my strength,
To sneak a peek at the violent game,
Men, young and old are in a tearing hurry,
In agitated minds and torches, both aflame;

Reminiscent of the wars that I had fought,
Are the noises from the exploding bombs,
Our own brethren, now the enemies are,
The nation is suffering a bloodied scar;

I open the door with caution and fear,
Bodies scattered far and near,
Split by beliefs, thrust by the heads,
We are a state, within ourselves at war!

Heartfelt poem Kumar reflecting the harsh reality of life.

Our Creator has spread a delicious fare but our greed knows no bounds, our brains are warped, our souls sold out to those who manipulate - siva

Like Siva said, our greed is so powerful that we would do anything to achieve whatever we want. From stealing to even killing a loved one over some money or an item, it doesn't make any sense! People that are innocent are killed by massacres and bombings, sadly. Sadly, I do now realize that every single action I do, or every happy moment, that someone innocent just died, and someone out there would love that moment.
