From Virgil's admiring references to the neoteric writers Pollio and Cinna, it has been inferred that he was, for a time, associated with Catullus' neoteric circle.

Prodigium

Prodigy, what can be done with his brilliant kind?
That none can do without, it is any wonder why.
Without tutorage, all by himself, begat such find
In understanding, aligns the affirmative arbitrary
Quotas, unwritten rule seems, state has designed
Its likeness, unknown to whom it should so belie.
Or reason with, or just thoughts they are inclined
To working out, what should not fail, to apply,
Ration with a readiness to relate and let’s remind
Ourselves, what options, before we submit wary,
Likeness to what it affirms whilst we are not blind,
Unnecessary likeness is the agreement you vary.

I've been writing for many years, but mainly after 1986, when things started to go wrong, things all of a sudden got better. I have been writing about it so far!
