Reality of a Dream.

Every day in my life has many, often extreme, ups and downs. Happy and content by morning, suicidal by the next hour depending on whatever. Accompanied with other stress factors and mental health suspicions, my sense of reality comes into question.

Reality of a Dream.

Real. What is real...

Please explain it to me.

For few it's what you know,

For some it's what you see.

The sky just might be real,

Or it could just be the sea.

Closing your eyes may help the dream,

Or it may influence a new decision.

But once you open up your eyes,

There's not even much to envision.

Please. Lie to me, tell me that I'm wrong.

That the caged bird doesn't sing a freedom song.

Alter my reality, this truth that's so wrong;

My mind dreamt of dreams, and I knew it all along.

So make it so, just change my mind.

Make it so truths are two of a kind.

And dream big, hope high. If you're at the bottom, continue to lie.

Then awaken from your falsity. That whole reason you asked, "Why?"

Life has no other definition other than what it's given. That being said, I'm still making mine.
