A probable solution to global warming: recycling. Various methods could be employed to achieve this task.

Advantages of recycling

As global warming is seen to be increasing with every passing year, the concerns of the environment protection societies increase ever more. The causes of pollution are numerous and tackling the difficulties in sorting out the solution is yet another task. However, as the phrase goes on ‘when there is a will there is a way’. In my point of view, the most powerful tool against global warming: recycling.
The methods of recycling range from households to industries. Nevertheless, the gain from recycling is advantageous to both. In our daily life we observe that those households or industries are better off than those who do not recycle.
The first and foremost benefit that we derive from recycling is saving money. For instance the husk of the rice is separated as it is unwanted. If the industry chooses to throw it away rather recycle, then its loosing the extra profit. If the industry uses the husk in the manufacture of fodder for the animals then it gains extra money. Also it can be used in making refractory bricks and it is an excellent insulator etc, as explained in the essay by G.Berkin.
Recycling metals is very important as metals are scarce and hence expensive. It has also been noted that recycled material made of metals is cheaper as it takes less time and energy in molding and casting it into a specific shape. Metal recycling also conserves natural resources. Recycling one ton of steel conserves 2,500 pounds of iron ore, 1,400 pounds of coal and 120 pounds of limestone. Recycling a ton of aluminum conserves up to 8 tons of bauxite ore and 14 megawatt hours of electricity. This information is provided by:
Recycling for industries which produce toxic substances, especially the manufacture of sulphuric acid, is necessary otherwise the industrial waste usually dumped into sea or an empty plot is hazardous to health. A wiser act would be to recycle the air escaping from their towers, subsequently they save some of their vital input materials. According to an analysis by Hiroshi Ogata and Norio Tananka, recycled sulphuric acid is as good as the fresh sulphuric acid ant it has no negative effects on semi conductors.
Recycling is the need of the hour and it should be practiced in our daily lives as well. It is profitable to engage in such an act, as natural resources are fast diminishing and our needs are on the increase at an alarming rate!
