Red Planet, Part Nine

Meanwhile, Derek and George were starting to feel disillusioned and stopped for a break.
"The only thing about a barren planet like this is that everything looks the same. Are you sure we aren't going in circles?"
"No George, you only need to look at out footprints to see that." They both turned back and saw a long trail.
"We've been hopping forwards for at least an hour or more."
"Strange, isn't it?"
"What, Derek?"
"We have no clocks or watches; and yet we resort to our primal instincts of measuring it, though our instincts."
"Derek, we need to at least find a safe place to spend the night, as Rhandor and maybe other aliens will most certainly be on our trail. I wonder what they'll do if they find us."
"Don't even think about it, Replied Derek, but you're right. We need to find a safe place to stay."
Up above, the sky was a deep red and the two moons had risen, adding a very bright glow everywhere.
By now, Rhandor had discovered and activated eight more aliens. They all stood before him, appearing like looming long baby-blue Kingstones, with a glow around them.
"Millions of years have passed, and now, finally, we are back on our planet once more." He said, to the others.
"What do we do now, leader?"
"Now, we need to track down the two Earthlings. Come on, let's go.
