A poem that invokes nostalgia and recapitulates the cherished moments of your childhood, we all try to move on but can't help looking back!

Reflections

Reflections of a bygone era
Surface on my mind
Voices echo, nostalgia grips the air
I move on, shadows follow.

School corridors glance at me
A long lost friend embraces me
A teary farewell grips the air
I move on, shadows follow.

The old clock strikes four
Its time to grab the swings
A childhood obsession grips the air
I move on, shadows follow.

As I flip through my old diary
I smell sibling rivalry
a strong bond grips the air
I move on, shadows follow.

I hold my dad’s finger
And walk down the memory lane
Hearts melt, fond memories grip the air
I move on, shadows follow.

The beauty in our life is our ability to revisit the past and even feel the atmosphere. Nice poem - siva
