Do you remember all the talents you have every day? Maybe there are some you haven't used in a while, so you forget about them. Have you also lost them?

Rekindling an old talent

I used to draw a lot when I was little. But as the years went by I didn't really see any sense in drawing a lot of non-commercial stuff.

However, Mother has made drawing one of the activities to keep Elmarie and Harrison's children busy with. She provided them with everything they need.

So they draw and draw and draw and draw a lot many days.

It's not long before I decide to go sit down and draw with them.

They were quite amused. Not long before they tried to copy everything I drew, by copying me or tracing the outlines of my sketches.

And so, I had created them many templates that they could practise their drawing with. Which was good.

For one thing, it taught them to use the entire page, because as children usually do, they draw these little figures at the very bottom edge of the page and maybe a sun and clouds in the upper part, but for the most part they do not utilize the biggest space on the page around the middle.

My sketches teach them to frame their objects so they use the entire page.

I thought I would just eventually throw all my informal sketches away that I drew this way, but I fall in love with them and then I make sure I keep all of them. I think I'll use them to decorate a wall somewhere.
