Remember Them

This is a poem that was inspired by the Day of The Dead

Don´t shed a tear

A cold hint of breeze reminds us
that is that time of the year again.
Summer, with those
days filled with sun
and fun on the beach,
is now long gone,
and to only thing that remains
is a memory that´s almost as blue
as the beautiful sea.
Now is moment to forget
about ourselves for while,
and give a few minutes
to think about all of those
who have passed away.
Just a moment,
to remember our loved ones
who are long gone.
But this time, please, darling,
do your best to keep your eyes dry.
It can be hard avoid crying
when you start
thinking about someone
you miss so much
But no matter how hard
can it be for you,
instead of crying,
try to remember those
who passed away
with happiness,
Hold on to those
happy moments
you spent in their company.
That way, your soul
is going to feel lighter.
