In respect for those who lost their lives in the Glasgow Helicopter Crash.
Our thought and prayers go out to them, their families, colleagues, neighbours and friends.
We also pray for the healing of those who have been injured.

Glasgow..29th November 2013

A police helicopter crashed into a busy pub on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow
32 people were injured.
Nine people lost their lives in this tragedy.

Final Moments

In those moments before the crash
all were blissfully unaware
sharing laughter and good music
whilst enjoyment filled the air..

Finding Comfort..

Just another Friday night out in Glasgow
a band playing, friends gathered...having fun
Sadly...back to their homes..
nine people will never return

Comfort can be sought in the knowing
those last hours were happily spent
in the company of good friends and neighbours
prior to this sad and tragic event

Colleagues carrying out their duty
no awareness of what was to unfold
no time to fear their demise
perhaps just a momentary reach..in clasping a hand to hold

Grief

Those who grieve the loss of loved ones
Oh how our City weeps with you
Our thoughts, our prayers, Glasgow's unity
Stand side by side with you.

Always In Our Thoughts...

To those who were tragically taken ..our respects we pay to you...

Ye'll never be forgotten
nor in our thoughts... be far away from home
held in each heart throughout our city
ye'll never walk alone..

In Loving Memory

We join together in this sadness
in a candlelit requiem
with prayers for the families who mourn
our thoughts being also with them...

Credits: In acknowledgement and in admiration of the emergency services.

oh Mariah ...This is such a beautiful tribute to such a sad loss of lives in your great City .
Every day is so precious , as none of us know when we shall be called from this life to the next , and it is all the more tragic when people were least expecting such a dreadful happening .
God bless you wee hen for this article , and may the Good Lord watch over you and yours .
With His love
Stella ><

Heartfelt tribute indeed Mariah to innocent folks who lost their lives and those injured. It was a real tragedy as I heard the police helicopter dropped like a stone giving no time to take cover - siva

So tragic Siva..they still don't have the answers as to what caused the crash as yet.
The most important thing is that all the victims have been accounted for, which is priority for the families concerned, but they will want to know what caused this terrible happening, as is their right.
Thank you my dear friend.

Hi Michelle,
It's only a couple of weeks ago that I wrote a happy post about the celebrations of the Commonwealth Games being hosted by my home town, never imagined I would be writing this one, so very emotional to write but I really wanted to do it.
