Just a reminder to all to stay away from the one who broke my heart and shattered my dreams.

A Scar For Life

Don't look at me
Don't even glance
for the pain in my eyes
may burn your skin,
The aching in my heart
may shatter your hope
destroy your dreams
keep them hidden,
Now listen to me,
Listen carefully,
Don't listen to his voice
for it is deceptive,
Close your ears to his words
for it's disturbing what he has to give,
He'll tell you sweet nothings
but that's all they are,
They're just words
that lack the weight to stay
barely long enough to leave a scar,
The scar is the only thing that remains
the only glimpse of promises broken
the only sure thing that lasts,
No matter how much time goes by
who comes and goes
It'll never be healed
It is an everlasting aching
an eternal hole in the heart
It is a perpetual reminder of what has been
what has come and gone
and what will forever be the past.

If you had met me
Earlier than now,
You’d never have had to regret somehow but ....

Thank you Songbird. I don't have much control over what I write...just open up my heart and the pain pours out.

I know exactly how some of this pain feels. It can manifest itself as something good, and then turn into a deep wound. Very deep thoughts and moving words.
