Seasoned...Finding Answers

In the winter of life unanswered question grow uncomfortable... even unacceptable.Yet it is our nature to seek comfort in our surroundings and find solace in the simplicity of the soul's yearnings...

A Measure of Time

The earth is but a chamber to measure time,
Where soul and mind are woven together,
Here- intertwined in the shine of a golden sunrise...

Daylight finds humanity standing
In the shadow of grace.

Seasons' Prayer

The perfect garden rose is the voice of June,
When summer is in delicate full bloom.
Listen now... to the mocking wind’s laughter as the autumn leaves fall,
And there, beyond… see the sparkle of snow
In the deep frozen tomb that is winter’s pall.

Circles and Answers

Finally spring,
In the tilled, rain soaked, pungent soil,
Life...
The seasons,
Our quiescent earth...
All justified by a Promise,
The miracle of rebirth.

A beautiful poem that says so much. In our youth most of us enjoy winter but in the wintertime of life - well, let's just say I can't wait for Spring.

I enjoyed reading your wonderful poem supplemented by equally beautiful photos. Presently I am living in Florida where you don't see snow and the winter is mild. But the change of seasons brings different colors to play and nature provides a pleasant scene.

GV it has been what we in Maine now call "the extreme winter"...Cold must wear a capital letter and a winter coat to even describe how bitterly frigid it has been...It snowed all day yesterday-but no complaints for me- I love snow, and it was in the teens above and not below freezing ...Thanks for stopping and very glad to see you writing again....I will be reading..:0)

A lovely image of the season, Delicia. Have spent time in Maine (many years ago) both summer and winter months. There is a beauty in both seasons. Is an essence within that is present here in the heart wherever home may be. Maine feels quite unique as no other place I have been, though. Have a lovely Spring!
