Silence is a Morning Song

As each season changes, nature gives a voice to the longings within our soul.

Beginning with Dawn

Beneath the melting snow,
The earth trembles.
Breathless on the white edge of daybreak,
Dawn tints the clouds-
Softness fills the lonely horizon.

Silence is a morning song...

Lost

Beneath the melting snow,
Dried leaves carelessly tossed-
Scattered over the ice of woodland pond,
Long forgotten by the forest trees.

Silence is a morning song...

Faith

Beneath the melting snow,
Longings stir, echoes deep within.
The wind's of March sweep
Through the sky,
Freeing it of clouds-

Silence is a morning song...

Prayer

Beneath the melting snow,
The soil where gardens soon will grow.
Time travels like the wind,
Through sky and earth...

Silence is a morning song.

Siva thank you-It is not morning yet here in Maine, this is time I cherish and even brazenly call my own-LOL-"if morning is a prayer, let the hours before be a place of humble reflection"...not sure where I read that, but one of those thoughts that fill my mind at this hour of the night:0)-thanks again Siva for stopping by...

I want to walk through that melting snow, pick up the scattered leaves and throw them in the air. You've helped me feel like a child again.

Val that picture is such art capturing so many tender feelings...March here in Maine can be such a fickle month one minute spring like and the next snow filled and ice...but always windy-LOL- thanks Val-:0)

So wonderful! I love the early mornings, too. It's my time of the day - to enjoy the peace and quiet and solitude. Thanks for the wonderful photographs.

Hello Christine:0)- I seem to get up earlier the older I get-LOL...I have always been a morning person, and seem to accomplish much more before noon than after...the snow is really starting to melt here in Maine and before to long, it should be spring not only on the calendar but for us real...good to see you Christine, and thanks...
