Snow Hushed Morning

After a snow storm there is always a unique stillness and beauty...

A Winter Path

My journey turns down a winter road.
How beautiful this polished path,
Smoothed by those who have long passed.

I rejoice in the solitude of this snow-hushed morning.

Morning Glory

In a hymn of winter's cold,
Daylight is a bright glory, crisp and bold.

The sky-filled treetops lift the darkness from the forest.

Winter and History

Upon the snow, sun and silhouette
Tell the length of winter's story.

Feel the depth and fold of silence...

Beneath the tall trees,
Shadows, years and memories.

Oh the snow!
White, white and white-
Pale white, dirty white-
Pure white-
Wall and sky-
Ground and down-
All white-
Great white-
White is great-
Track to nothing-
Covered the burning-
Blanketed and smooth white -
Nice and great views-

Thank you for sharing the nice writing once again.

Rathnashikmani....we in Maine are in the midst of a Nor'easter-a great blizzard- we have not seen the likes of in many of years...through the night the wind howl its mighty story- this morning still it blows..-"causing white outs" drifting snow- 20 inch and more-locking eveyone inside to wait out its great fury...Mike my husband -is a mail-carrier- and for the first time we ever remember- the mail delivery was cancelled today!- Zero visibility on the roads...thank you for stopping in on this history making stormy day here in Maine:0)!

So the day going to be a 'stormy' memory ever returning in your future recollections ...
and so will this poem be.

That would be an 'adventurous' experience to be waiting to see the cold fury passing by gradually.
