Here are some things that have confused me in my 71 years on this earth. Humans are funny creatures.

Some Things That I Don't Understand

In my 71 years on this earth, one would think that a person could grow to understand most everything. 't'ain't true. There are many things that still make me scratch my head and wonder how the human race survived this long. I sit and watch "America's Funniest Videos" and marvel at the stupidity of people.

Below are a few things that I don't understand.

1. Isn't it funny that you don't have time to do it right, but you have time to do it over?

2. You're almost out of gas, so you break all speed limits to get to the gas station before you run out.

3. You don't know what you're doing, but you do it anyway.

4. You ask a question of someone and then argue with their answer.

5. You're trying to lose weight by jogging around the block, then you stop at the donut shop on your way home.

6. Isn't a mirror image an opposite?

7. How can the federal government know about our financial problems when we earn one-tenth (1/10) of what they earn in a year.

8. How do you convince someone, who is earning money hand-over-fist in oil investments, that the price has to come down.

9. Why is the biggest liar the one that gets elected to lead our country.

10. How can anyone be so gullible as to think we can balance a budget, when we are fourteen trillion dollars in debt.

There are many more things that make me cock my head in wonder but this will do for the time being.

Don, I wrote about " Isn't it funny that you don't have time to do it right, but you have time to do it over?" in my submission for today - funny you should mention that.

Isn't the "biggest liar" always the person with the biggest job?

Don,
I can't say I agree with all of these (I find #9 particularly suspect as I think lying is ubiquitous to ALL politicians... in out out of office and is probably most pronounced in those seeking it!) - But, I think I would need m,y own slice of personalized cyberspace to list all of the things I don't understand - and even if I had it, the list could include only the things I KNOW I do not understand. The list of things that I don't understand and don't know that I don't understand them would probably be more important and would take even more space - but, of course, I don't know what they are ...

Loved it. I live my life by 1-4. Include: How is it that we can travel to mars and back, but we can't figure out the exact circumference of a circle? or: Why is it, when you are in a hurry, you catch every redlight?

you're almost out of gas, so you break all speed limits to get to the gas station before you run out.
Sir next time you run out of gas don’t speed up drive at 45 km/hour you will reach the farthest gas station ..should you speed up half way you will have to carry a can...
Isn’t a mirror image an opposite?
smart generals play the opposite they have mock drills what will the enemy in such a situation team a vs team b the winner gets the pat and the general gives the other a kick why couldn't you see..
but how foolish we are the opposite we see daily and yet don’t bat an eye when we have shaved the wrong side of the moustache,

Why is the biggest liar the one that gets elected to lead our country?
only liars can lay any one from a mob they want to lie with..
as false promises are never questioned
till proved and surely are false but we all knew it lying as well as laying is no fools play..

Sir can I post this as opinions so that many more can share it??of course your name will figure first

I have to say this is a good list and one that will make me go hmmm throughout the day, love it. I find the reason 'we the people' elect those that make promises that they never mean to fulfill is because, we (as a whole) are too darn lazy to do our research and better yet. We need to really listen to what they are spewing and then think to ourselves, can 'they' really do this. If your first response is no, then stop electing these fools. Nice read. Thank you for sharing.:)
