This is a continuation of "Firefly Fairies" now facing spring time in Evergreen Place.

Springtime in 'Evergreen'

Once upon a merry springtime
When fireflies came up from the ground,
Fairies landing on that old chair "Whispers",
Under a spicy canapy they all knew;
One they adored and loved being around.

They enjoyed falling leaves before winter
When its skies were turning bleak
They talked about the good old days
A little longer they would dance and play;
Before last September's chill in "Evergreen".

Now old chair Whispers will warm up slowly
From spider webs cold and torn,
The sun will peek through spring time air
Watch flowers bloom out everywhere;
And celebrate new life as it is born.

Oh when the earth in solomn lay
Bare trees stood in purple haze,
Lightening bug fairies sat and gazed
And wished for a little springtime visit;
Around their beloved "Evergreen Place."

A good read, tip, easier to read the other page "Firefly Fairies" when lined to this one.

How beautiful. Betchya if you'd added a couple of images this would have had a star attached to it.

Tranquilpen, I thought you were referring to paragraph lines. After reviewing this again I found what you were talking about. You were telling me without saying it, my use of seasons in the story and topic were not agreeable. It is now corrected. Beautiful how you pointed that out to me without saying a word, lol. Clever :) Smiles, Bets

I'm much delighted to see your poetry is 'springing' back to the 'Evergreen' pastures to 'celebrate new life as it is born'.

Lovely poem.
