A short poem about a squeaking gate that drove me crackers over a week and how I resolved the matter. We all have things sometimes that get on your nerves, can be the smallest of things occasionally.

Squeak squeak squeak,
All day long,
My front gate,
Was singing a song,
The postman came,
To deliver mail,
Squeak squeak squeak,
Would not fail.

All the time

Squeak squeak squeak,
All the time,
Tried some oil,
To make it fine,
Next door nieghbour,
Wanted tea,
Squeak squeak squeak,
Came back to me.

Giddy head.

Squeak squeak squeak,
Just the same,
Head was giddy,
Was going insane,
Used some grease,
To calm it down,
Crossed my fingers,
With a frown.

Magic Grease.

Squeak squeak squeak,
Had gone away,
The magic grease,
Had won the day,
Squeak squeak squeak,
Can drive you mad,
Making your head,
So really bad.

Loved this Maurice, and know just what you mean too! Glad you got the gate sorted, and lovely to read about it in such an amusing way. We can find humour in anything if we look hard enough..lol \0/x
