Starlight

This is a poem about a lost love that was found again.

Starlight

There you go again

Fading away.

In the dark

You always stay.

I see you fly the eagle’s way,

But only in my dreams.

Do those pale blue eyes see through me?

Starlight shines in your eyes.

The Starlight guides us on our way to heaven’s face.

Starlight comes, burning bright then fades

Only to return in the hours of night.

On an endless road

Trailing down this path.

In the darkness I make my my bed

Without a single regret.

I bathe in the sweet scent your petals bring.

Rich flower of night

Take away my loneliness.

When the Starlight shines in your eyes

We stand face to face at heaven’s gate.

Starlight comes, now forever our companion.

We now are one with the night.

We are Starlight.

Thank you so much. I wrote this poem a while back. It's always been one of my favorites.
