Stolen Golden Carp

A poem about a golden carp that was stolen from my garden pond yesterday. All my family are of course a little upset.

Stolen Golden Carp

Yes today I`m feeling sharp,
After someone stole my carp,
It was golden in my pond,
Which my family was so fond,
It was stolen in the day,
When the family was away.

Trodden Garden

Garden edging was trod down,
Made the copper give a frown,
He admits it was a thief,
And his visit was too brief,
Any help has gone away,
Useless copper did not stay.

We`ve been left with smaller fish,
Not the outcome that we`d wish,
The golden carp was very tame,
No security was to blame,
Now the pond is caged with lock,
After families golden shock !
