The difference in being in California to being in the UK and growing fruit and veg.

Strawberries in April

Strawberries in April

I’m currently in California at my partner home, in the garden we’ve planted some fruit and veg. The veg is now doing well after having a problem with snails. We only have Strawberries as fruit at the moment although my partner is wanting some more, not sure which other fruit at the moment.

We bought some strawberry plants some 6 weeks ago and planted them out in the garden along with veg and flowers. They strawberries seemed happy where they were and within a week or so we had flowers of them which soon turned to fruit. It wasn't to long before the Strawberries turned to a beautiful red and were ready for eating.

Normally in the UK you are lucky to have strawberries in June let alone April, it’s just amazing the difference it is being here in California. We should have some tomatoes come the weekend, looking forward to trying those.

Do you grow your own Fruit and Veg?
