Father, Mother and I drive down for two days to Cape Town with the surprize cars we're going to deliver to Petros and Elly.

Surprize! You've got a new car.

First, Father goes to get Petros at his dark dump of an apartment, with Elly's little Renault. In jest, he tells Petros that this little Renault is the new car he can now have. (Petros suspected something was going on during prior phone calls.)

Petros didn't seem to believe Father, but still had an attitude of polite gratefulness.

They drive and stop outside the gate to the complex where Petros lives. There, Mother and I have his actual new car: His brand spanking new second hand white BMW X3.

Yep, he looks a lot more satisfied with this car.

We go have lunch together with Petros. After that, it's time to go give Elly her vehicle.

Unfortunately, as soon as we enter the Nautilus Rock complex, Stingley her husband is there and he sees us and would probably blow the whole thing, so Father just tells him about the surprize car we have brought for Elly. Stingley and Elly rent out the apartment they have at Nautilus Rock and live in a house now that they have turned into a school or something. But Stingley is here because he has won a contract to renovate the lobby area at Nautilus Rock.

We go pick up Elly with her new car, at their house where they are starting a school or preschool or whatever.

But, as is Elly's habit, she makes us wait and wait and wait and wait while she's busy with all sorts of things.

Finally when she comes out, she just gets in and doesn't even notice it's not one of our cars she's familiar with.

Halfway to the place where we're going to buy supper, she asks what car this is because she doesn't know it. Finally Father can tell her it's hers.

Elly and her two children are very happy, because they have only one car at present and Stingley is using that one for work. Now they have one too and aren't prisoners at home no more.
