This poem is about a person who is suspicious about his teenage children, and wondering why people say the things they do that make you wonder.

Often I wonder.
Why people say the things they do.
Are they keeping something from me.
Will I lose part of me inside me.
My broken heart has mended.
Not wanting to be broken again.
Is the truth afraid to be told.
The real answers are in your heart.
I took care of you.
Now I feel like you are betraying me.
Why do you twist my mind.
Don't listen to a fool.
The joker cry's.
Not laughing no more.
Wondering is it a game.
You play in your mind.
Not knowing your causing pain.
Live a life that only memories will be pain.
Don't cry.
Because I know it's only a lie.
Why do you do the things you do.
I wonder ,wonder why.
It's that teenager you are.
Holding you deep in my heart.
Some day will be far apart.
Remembering the pain ,and the suspicion you caused.
Then I know that the world is full of suspicion.
Wondering why people say the things they do.
