Tears Through The Years

I saw a prompt on a writing website, to write a three paragraph short story with the first line of each paragraph starting with the same sentence. I'm not sure what inspired this story line, but this is what I came up with.

The Little Girl Cried

The little girl cried. Everyone was so relieved, as all through her mother's pregnancy there were complications. Complications that could have resulted in a still birth. Everyone in the room cried along with her, finally assured that she was alive.

The little girl cried. She was learning to ride a two wheeler for the first time, and she kept falling over. Her parents wouldn't let her give up. They wanted to teach her the very lesson that she had taught them when she was born; if you want something bad enough, never lose hope!

The little girl cried. It was her wedding day, and although she wasn't a little girl anymore, she always would be to her mother and father. As she walked down the aisle, once again, her parents cried with her. Again, just like the day she was born, they were tears of joy.

I enjoy writing of all kinds, but my favorite style is poetry. I love country music, so a lot of my poetry is lyrics. I have recently begun to write short fiction stories and personal stories.
