Teen Jobs

It's so hard to make any proper money as a teenager. Nobody seems to take you seriously!

Money, money, money

Getting a job as a teen these days is really hard! Maybe not in big towns and cities, but when you live out in the countrylike I do? Impossible!

These last few days I've been looking for ways to make money, but unless I decide to go for a paper round with rubbish pay I can't do anything! I tried to start a little car washing/dog walking/pet sitting business but the village I live near is so small! And I had to get my parents to cart me around...

People say that "money can't buy happiness" bla bla, but in my experience it kinda does. Yeah, I get that people can't buy friends, or love, but I've already got that. All I want is my own horse, a nice, cool house, a whole wardrobe that I actually like, instead of just a few outfits that are my favourites. It's not that my parents are poor, they are just always saving money, just in case.

But also, as it says in my bio, I don't want a boring job that I hate. That would be a complete waste of time unless I got a helluva good pay. Preferably I want something that I enjoy, which is why pet sitting or dog walking would be so good!!

Please comment any, opinions, experiences and ideas down below! :)

From Scotland, I love the place I've grown up in. Galloping across hills on horses with the wind in my hair is surreal. Live life to the full, don't waste your time.

Well, it is very difficult wherever you live. And, like you say, it's going to be more so in a village. I live in quite a large town but finding a job is just as hard. Perhaps you could start your own business online doing something you enjoy?

It is tough to get a job we like so I like the job I get and do! Keep trying and do not lose hope - siva

Emma,
The world consists of the perceptual and rational. The perceptual is beautiful, but the rational is cruel. I think that the village is the embodiment of the perceptual , and the city is the embodiment of the rational . If you want to go to the city to make money, might as well learn a excellent skill.
