There comes a time in every life when we must come down from our mountains and learn to love anew.

The Armistice and The Mountain

The Armistice and The Mountain

Out here the air we breathe
Is thick and still
And yet clouded
With cold sunshine,
As the tumbling sky
Fills our lungs
With the mysteries of life undone.

The Day is Long

Outside the day is long
And tilting, falling
Towards the rising moon.
My sunshine,
My beautiful sunshine
Is dying a slow death

Again,
As if tortured
By the coming night.

Tortured

Tortured
By the empty sorrows of darkness
That come with the mask
Of cool reverie.
Will there be no bliss tonight,
No joy under moonlight?
Why must the day always fall away
When darker skies
Come calling?

Must We Always Believe

Must we always believe
In the faceless lie

From the marbled toothed news men
Who would have us hate
For their own needs be?

Will the blue clouds
Never be tipped
With morning sunshine
Above the rising sea?

Throw Our Thoughts Away

Must we always
Throw our love away

In the light of day
While others
Hunt for that
Which satisfies
Only their needs?

Come Down

Come down, my son.
Come down from your high perch,
Come down from your mountain hide-a-way
My son, my only son
And remember
No one speaks for everyone
With a cold heart.
Come down from the mountain my son,
Come down from the moonlight calling.

The Country is Lost

The country is lost,
The war has come undone.
The turning is upon us,
And now...Now we must learn
Once again, my son,
How to sing

The songs of love.

Beautiful. especially liked these lines: No one speaks for everyone
From a cold heart.
Come down from the mountain my son,
Down from the moonlight calling.
