The Armistice

It always feels like we are heading for highs, and new lows as we are saturated with hate from right and left. Can we not see past this?

The Armistice

The Armistice

The air we breathe
Is cool and clear
And yet clouded with lies,
Filling my lungs with brown life.
Outside the day is tilting
Towards a burning orange,
My sunshine, my beautiful sunshine
Is dying a slow death
As if tortured by coming night.

No Joy Under Moonlight

Tortured
By the sweet sorrow of darkness

That comes with cool reverie.
Will there be
No joy under moonlight?
Must the day always fall away
With darker skies?
He pleads.

Blue Cloud Skies

Must we always believe
The marbled toothed news men
Who would have us hate
For his own needs?

Will the blue cloud skies
Not be tipped with morning sunshine?
Must we throw our thoughts away
While others hunt for that
Which satisfies
Only their needs?

Come Down

Come down off your high perch
My son,
His father cries.
No one speaks for all
From a womb of iron
And a broken tongue.
Come down from the mountain
My son.

Learning to love

The country is lost,
The war is over.
The turning is upon us,
For now
My son,
We must learn
To love.

I have been writing since the beginning of time it seems, not because I want to write, but because I have too. My favorite form of writing is poetry, all kinds and types of poetry.

Thanks spirited, I don't know just how I did that, but it seemed easy enough at the time. I will get it repaired as soon ASAP. And thanks again.

Can you believe it spirited. That's what I get for reading both of my pages before I answer the comments.

The top two pictures are from a hiking trip just east of Salt Lake, the last one is from a road trip to LA, and the mountain Jordan is what I see from my front window each morning.

Thank you Sivar, I know what you mean as I often times write on the darker side of things. And yes, it is time to come together and rebuild our love of life.
