Waiting for a Knight in Shining Armour can be disappointing.

The Broken Knight

Alas courageous Knight,
I cannot see thy face.
T’was long foretold
of a spectre of justice
whom shall free such
meek dependant from
mine chains of ignorance.

Art thou true being
of such noble notoriety?
Dost thou wish upon
stars or upon Gods?
Such burden must
upon bestowed thine
heavy shoulders.

Mine courage falters,
a draft of doubt.
Where unto dost ye
travel with fallen heart
and broken sword?
Alas courageous Knight,
I cannot see thy face.

Thine mask is empty.
